F1 headed to the home of Ferrari this week as we rocked up in Monza for the Italian GP. Max had the chance to make it ten in a row and set a new Formula One record in the process while Ferrari were hoping to deliver something for the home crowd. We usually find ourselves loving the Monza qualifying but then not finding as much entertainment in the race itself.  This year was definitely different as Monza served up a beauty of a race. Red Bull smashing the rest OK, so the title does not really make sense but Red Bull will feature in this blog entry and China kinda does.  Just go with it. Looking at the blog list I realized this is the first entry since the season started. With all the excitement of being back on track and recording the pod, the flow of the blog just came to a halt. Much like Leclerc in the gravel. Sigh. We find ourselves at an enforced break in the season after the cancellation of the Chinese GP due to COVID concerns.   The next time we'll have cars on track will be in Azerbaijan on the last weekend of April. With three races in the bank let's take a look at how they have panned out, what we have learned so far, what has surprised us, and what we think is in store for the remainder of the season. Locked and loaded & ready for the off! As I sit here writing this blog it is Thursday 2nd March 2023 or F1-Eve as I will now call it. After what feels like an off-season that lasted forever, we can finally look forward to FP1 tomorrow and start building the excitement towards lights out on Sunday. However, as all content from this point forward will be rightfully based on this seasons events, I wanted to take a little time to review what happened here at the Dirty Side over the break. We were actually a little worried about how to fill the time and create content for each episode given both Brian & I have full time (non-F1) jobs. One option was to have a break and hang up the microphones for a little while. The problem is we enjoy this too much so didn't really fancy this as our go-to strategy.
