Season 2 Episode 39 - Japanese GP - Guess Who's Back?



F1 headed to the land of the rising sun this week as the Japanese GP took place at the Suzuka Circuit.

But who won the Japanese GP?

Did Max get back to winning ways?

Who got pole position?

Did McLaren do well in the Japanese GP?

Did the Technical Directive impact the Red Bull Performance?

All these questions and more are answered on this weeks episode.

The story of the week for some conspiracy theorists out there (and our very own Sap) was the the technical directive had brought Red Bull back into the pack which had seen Sainz grab the win on the last time out.

However, right from the first practice, Max was on a mission to remind everyone that it was just a blip.  

The guys pull apart the weeks news as well as doing break down of all the main events over the race weekend.  There is also a big discussion around the future of Logan Sargeant.

And that's when the machines became self-aware... ChatGPT is not exactly a new thing but here at the Dirty Side we hadn't really had a play with it. If 1980's TV & Film took over Formula 1...

  Coming to a track near you in 2026 The F1 news cycle was busy filling it's pages with the announcement that Audi will partner with Sauber from 2026 onwards.  There was much excitement despite it being so far away and the internet was awash with images like the one above of a concept livery for the team. This got us thinking over at Dirty Side headquarters. What liveries would we like to see on F1 cars? Being men of a certain age we were instantly drawn to the idea of what if 1980 TV & film replaced all the constructors?   What would that grid look like?    We sat down and came up with our favorite 10 shows and films from the 1980s and have created a livery based on each.
