Season 2 Episode 41 - Qatar GP Review: Tires & Titles


 

F1 rolled into Qatar this week to be met by scorching temperatures, wind, and sand.


Tires became a real talking point of this race weekend and really impacted the Sunday event.

It was a sprint weekend so we had an action packed Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the guys to discuss.

We saw Max crowned a triple world champion with them all back to back while Oscar continued his (and McLaren's) upwards trajectory.

So fire up the latest episode as the guys pull apart the weeks news as well as doing break down of all the main events over the race weekend and answer such questions as "Who won the Qatar GP?", "Why did they have to do 3 pitstops?", "Who won the sprint race?", and of course "Did Hulkenberg park in the right place on the grid?".

And that's when the machines became self-aware... ChatGPT is not exactly a new thing but here at the Dirty Side we hadn't really had a play with it. If you are not familiar with the concept then here is a summary of exactly what it is courtesy of ChatGPT itself when we asked it "What is ChatGPT?": "ChatGPT is a conversational language model developed by OpenAI. If 1980's TV & Film took over Formula 1...

  Coming to a track near you in 2026 The F1 news cycle was busy filling it's pages with the announcement that Audi will partner with Sauber from 2026 onwards.  There was much excitement despite it being so far away and the internet was awash with images like the one above of a concept livery for the team. This got us thinking over at Dirty Side headquarters. What liveries would we like to see on F1 cars? Being men of a certain age we were instantly drawn to the idea of what if 1980 TV & film replaced all the constructors?   What would that grid look like?    We sat down and came up with our favorite 10 shows and films from the 1980s and have created a livery based on each.
